The Good Ghost Carolanne Part III
February 7, 2010 Uncategorized No CommentsAlright, ya’ll. Settle into your couches ensconced with slipcovers, here we go with Part Three!
“No, mommy, no, I just want you to be hapy”, said Carolanne and her mother stopped crying. “Really”, she asked, “but it’s my fault you died, I should have been paying more attention to you that night, I should have been watching you!” She had started to cry again. “No, mommy, I should have stayed in bed, it’s not your fault, it’s mine, you should be happy!”, she whispered to her mother, “You have to be happy for me to move on”. Suddenly, James came through the window, howling with laughter. “For you to move on?” he laughed, “why would you want to move on?” He looked at Carolanne like she was nuts. “This place is so much fun! I mean, you can do this”, he said, as he lifted the chair Carolanne’s mother was in. “No, please put me down” wailed Carolanne’s mother. “Help me, Carolanne, please just help me”, she asked. “I can’t”, said Carolanne, her ghostly eyes filling with tears, “I’m not strong enough”. James carried her mother through the door, going invisible, so it looked as if the chair was bewitched to float through the air. “Please, Carolane, please try to help me!” her mother screamed as she was carried away, 15 feet in the air. “What can I do?” she whispered, flying to catch up to her screaming mother. “Please, James, please just put her down. Back at home.” “No! You can’t leave me, Carolanne, you’re the only other ghost in town, and if you won’t stay I’ll just kill your mother!” Carolanne froze. “No, James! You can’t, please don’t, she doesn’t deserve it!!! Please just take her back home!” Carolanne pleaded, but still James continued to carry Carolanne’s mother towards the icy cold churning river. “No, I’m dumping her in; she is going to pay for you to cross over.” James was almost at the river now, Carolanne’s mother still floating in the air screaming. “Hurry, Carolanne, please hurry, he’s going to kill me!!” James was laughing now, a terrible evil laugh only someone who really did not care about another person’s life could laugh. “How dare you think you could stop me!”, he shouted, “as if you, a little puny ghost-girl like you could stop me?” This made Carolanne so mad she screamed, “Puny little girl? REALLY?” She flew ar James, who threw the chair holding Carolanne’s mother into the air. Carolanne caught her mother and placed her on the ground. “You’re going to pay for messing with her!’” She attacked James, but James was ready. “What are you going to do? Kill me?:, he laughed. “No”, said Carolanne, “I’m going to banish you”, she said. “WHAT?”, yelled James as Carolanne grabbed his arm, fuelled by anger. She pulled James to the church, and inside. “Now, this is fun”, she said, as she pulled him to the altar. “I BANISH YOU!”, she screamed, “from this town, form this earth. Be gone, for you are an evil ghost who crawls around ruining people’s lives, scaring them so that they will never be the same!” And then…….James disappeared.
