Homeschooling, Stuff to Buy 2 Comments

I’ve been watching something happen that has been pretty amazing. When I decided to go ahead and bump us back to a full CM school experience, I knew it would cost money, and probably a substantial amount. I decided what I wanted and then I gasped at the amount of money it was going to cost, and had a real crisis of faith. I thought about it for awhile, and then I said “God pays His bills”, and I clicked the submit order button. I did wait until I had enough in paypal to pay for the first major purchase, which happened to be LLATL (times 3 students). Then I started looking for the rest of what we needed. I figured I might end up having to put some of it on a low interest credit card, but that it was worth it.

And then I watched in amazement as God did exactly what I had said He would do. It was incredible to watch, and it gave me goosebumps as I watched payment after payment roll into replenish that paypal account. I ordered the materials for composer and artist study, and I got notices from paypal that I had received money. In almost the exact amount I had spent, ya’ll. It was crazy.

Now, I do still need a few items, things I’ll pick up in town and not order online, mostly art supplies. I”ll end up putting those on credit cards, because I still don’t have a paypal debit card. But there is money in paypal to cover the expense. Now don’t read more into this than I am saying. There have been years where I’ve needed to compare credit cards and worry about interest rates and just such as this. But this year? School is paid in full.

Getting it Done 1 Comment

I need to shop. I don’t need Callaway golf equipment, but I do need other stuff. And my problem is that I’m not quite sure when I am supposed to acquire this stuff that we have to have. By Saturday morning at 8 am, I have to have a pair of cheering shoes for Diva. Not a big deal, right? Except we have one vehicle (and 7 kids at home) and dh works (umm, d’uh). And tonight, there is sports practice. And also on Thursday night. And on Friday night, there is a game for Spidey and Batman. Now bearing in mind they get home after 8 from practices, and that I aim to be in bed by 10 so I can be up at 6, you begin to see the magnitude of my issue. It’s looking like I’ll be making an early morning trip to WalMart tomorrow morning. I guess that’s ok, since I can’t go Saturday morning like I’ve been doing.

Will someone please explain exactly how I am suppose to shoehorn all this fun into our lives?
