Having Fun

I have one daughter who loves to draw and design clothes. I have another who is spending some of her free time drawing fairies, and a third who thinks God surely created her to watch movies. I think I may have found a website that all of them will enjoy. Cartoon Doll Emporium has added a line of dolls from High School Musical, modeled after Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and others. And they have forums, too, with fan clubs for the movie. It’s a totally rad experience for your High School Musical loving tween.
And listen close, shhhh! Lean in. I know some of you moms have a little political thing going on, like I do. It’s not all about the recipes up there in your head. Check out the political dolls. Dress them up and make them do crazy stuff. (That’s for the ones you don’t like. You can make your favorite be absolutely correct in every way.) But when you start giggling, be sure to keep it quiet. You’d hate to wake up the kids and have to explain yourself, right?

Homeschooling

Well, yeah, that’s what I am doing. When I sat down to get started with fleshing out my lists into workable plans, I got so overwhelmed. I reallydid just have to stop and pray. The answer came immediately and was so simple I laughed at myself: get a notebook, and plan to first subject. Umm, yeah. Sometimes I really set myself up.
So, I have planned seven subjects so far. Bear in mind that I bought the wrong calendar, so I am not sure how this is going to pan out as far as fitting everything in. I do have to say that I am getting excited. There is a time for just getting the basics done, but I much enjoy the “extras” that we did not get to do this past year.
I’m still trying to decide how to break the posts down for this. I was going to list each subject separately, but there are over 20 of those, so perhaps it would be better to deal with two or three per post, since some of them will be short. But maybe not, so we’ll see. I’m rambling. This post is basically here to say I used the time that would have been used for school this morning to plan and I am pleased with my progress.
