alcohol rehab

The remainder of this post has been relocated in a blog reorganization to avoid a duplicate content penalty. You can most likely find it on Cass Knits. Since I am contractually obligated to 60 words, I feel compelled to leave an explanation. Just in case that mass email referred to this post, which wasn’t removed, but only truncated. Enh, better safe than sorry.

Off topic Saturday Vacation International Points Club

Is anyone a member of the vacation international points club? I’ve looked the site over, and I’m thinking it’s UK only?? You buy points and use them to travel to different resorts, but I don’t understand much beyond that. I can’t find any pricing information, either.

The idea looks intriguing, and the testimonials they’ve posted are pretty positive, but I’d like to see a lot more information. Then maybe I could tell you about it, instead of asking you to tell me, LOL!

Laughing is good!

I know it’s mean to laugh at people, but sometimes you just can’t help it. You must go read this post on bodily fluids to understand the rest of my post.

Lisa, I’m sorry you had to do so much laundry, but I just giggled my head off over you and your penile missile issues. As a mother of three boys, I can only advise you to lift the diaper quickly away, and then pop it right back down so he can let fly in it again. You’ll only need to do it for about 2 months, until he gets used to the sensation of cold air hitting his whatever.

There, more unsolicited advice. Do you still love me? drug treatment centers

One Nervy Gal

I was just over reading on Melissa’s blog, and what she said made my hair stand on end. She’s due with her second baby in 20 days, and she’s moving on July 6th. She’s determined to have everything organized before the baby gets here! Good Luck, Melissa. I hope the baby holds off until you are ready.

Bad Credit Debt Consolidation

Face it, moms buy stuff. Moms buy a LOT of stuff, and the more kids you have, the more stuff you buy, and it can get to be a great big disaster if you are not careful. You know I advocate budgeting and being wise in your finances, and it’s mostly because I’ve been burned for making poor choices. I’ve never had to get a bad credit debt consolidation, but I have looked at my options and seriously considered it a time or two. Now, the site I linked to here also has helpful articles on avoiding the kind of situation where you find yourself in a financial jam, and I think we all know it’s much easier to stay out of a mess than to get out of a mess, right? Finances are really not an area where you want to hear yourself say “if I’d just known then what I know now.”

Friendly Friday-Dad Gone Mad

Today’s shout-out doesn’t go to a Mother of Many. In fact, it doesn’t go to a mother at all. It’s going out to a dad with just two kids. His name is Danny, and he writes Dad Gone Mad. I’m going to warn you in advance that the language on this blog is pretty strong, but he makes me laugh every.single. time. I read him. Well, except for the one time I almost cried, which is the only time I ever made a comment. I thoroughly enjoy this blog, and I’m betting you will, too.

Sorry, Danny, your blog is about to appear under a heading of “More Mothers of Many”. Somehow, though, I bet you’ll find humor in that.

Breakfast Recipes

Breakfast is an area that I definitely need some help with. Usually, everyone just fends for themselves as they get up, except the babies. It’s not a situation I am pleased with, so I keep a look out for breakfast recipes, looking for something quick and easy. It must be quick and easy, because just between you, me and the fence post, mornings are not my best time.

I think I’d do better with stuff I could make the night before, and cook in the crock-pot, or even the bread machine. This Carrot Bread recipe looks good, and since my bread machine has a delay feature, I could try it. But this would be a better hit, I think: Slow Cooker Oatmeal. It might even be worth investing in a smaller crockpot to do this.

Need Something?

This is seriously the smartest idea I have seen in a very long time, and I see a lot of ideas. Really. Many more ideas than ever see the light of day on this blog. But this, this is…cool. What is the most difficult thing for a mother of many to do? Showering and talking on the phone are high on the list, but I’m talking bigger. For me, it’s comparison shopping for major purchases. I mean the bank breaking ones. Now, you may remember that I did some of that this spring: new washer, new dishwasher. And I got so frazzled trying to decide what we needed, because it wasn’t a 10 dollar blouse, or even a 30 dollar rump roast. It was big money, and I wanted to make a good decision.

I wish I had known about Krillion then, and that’s why I am telling you about it now. Honest to Pete, this will be your friend. Say you need a dishwasher, and you want a Frigidaire. Go to Krillion, type in Frigidaire Dishwashers, enter your zip code, and there they are: stores, right in your area, with Frigidaire Dishwashers in stock and ready to be purchased, along with the prices. Whoa! No calling around to ask “do you have?” and “how much?” When you’ve decided on a particular store, you can have them call you!

Now, I hate to even say it, but we need a new freezer. The year of major appliance death is not yet over here. Where do you think I’m going to go when I’m ready to buy?? Same place I just sent you.

Sometimes

I get so busy doing it, I just don’t have time to blog about it. Let me just say that three pages of math per day takes about an hour and a half, and also, I can use the changing table again. I mean to be able to use it indefinitely, even if I have to stand guard over it. I have yarn, and I have iced tea. I can last until I have to go potty.
