Having Fun
No Comments
Kids like to hear about the past. Tell them stories about when you were growing up. Did you have a favorite pet? Did your family take Orlando vacations? Did you vacation at home? Did you have friends back then that you still know today? They’ll enjoy hearing about all those things. They’ll also enjoy stories about themselves and what they did when they were younger.

More Mothers of Many

Gretchen combines all my favorite things into one great blog. She knits, she has cute kids, and of course, she’s funny! Like me she has teens and a baby, so there’s a real mix of topics on her blog, and that makes it a real pleasure to read. Oh, she’s also a great photographer. I put her on this blog instead of the others for a reason any mother understands: Once you are a mother, that is always what you are.

Safety First

Spring is sprung around here, at least for the past couple of days. It’s a good time to make sure your yard is a safe place to play again, particularly if you’ve been covered in snow for awhile. It seems that my yard collects trash and debris faster than we can get rid of it. Get your kids to help you clean it up, and then spend some time playing with them. Whether you live on Blue Ridge real estate, or somewhere a little less scenic, you know that home is pretty when you are there together.
It’s also a great time to check any swing sets and other large playthings to be sure they are in good repair, and the bolts are tight, etc. Here that means dismantling the trampoline, because some of the tabs that hold the springs have ripped off, and it’s no longer safe to play on.
