What’s for dinner

The single most important thing I can do to make the “arsenic hours” less crazy is plan for dinner before dinner time. I like to know what’s for supper before 9am. I can definitely tell a difference on the days I fail to do that, and it is not pretty.

Before we get started

I don’t want you to think that I am standing up on a mountain telling you how to achieve a perfect life.  The truth is that I am quite often less than successful in my efforts to get it all done, to spend wisely, to plan meals and to do all the other stuff that goes with managing a family.  Nonetheless, I have learned quite a bit through reading, trial and error and assorted slaps upside the head from life.

Just because I share some tips with you doesn’t mean I have life under control. In fact, it will probably often be a case of “take my advice, I’m not using it.”

What’s this all about?

Some friends and I were chatting tonight, and they indicated to me that I should start a blog on family management. They want to know

  • How do you coordinate cooking?
  • Cleaning?
  • Do you leave the house (that’s a joke)
  • How about money management?
  • Grocery shopping?
  • Do you buy in bulk?

So, here we are. I’ll try to post daily, Monday through Saturday, here, but it would really help if you’d ask some questions!
