Diva always wants a party and then it’s invitations, cleaning up, tons of food, tons of mess and cleaning again. But parties are still fun, too.

Batman did another crazy thing today. For some reason, he thought he wanted pegs for his bike. Now, the boy is five years old, so I’m not sure who he thought would trust him enough to climb up on there to get a ride, but he bought some off a neighborhood boy. I went over to the other boy’s house to return them and get the money back. He didn’t take out a payday loan for this misadventure. Instead he, used money he’d lifted from his sibs. Sigh. We really have to work on that.

Please meet my oldest daughter, affectionately known as TheClone, because she looks, acts and thinks just like me. She’s 19 and recently left home. She got me real good on her blog when she said in her comments that she was practically married. I was thinking I might have to think of wedding favor ideas until she told me she was just kidding. She tends to keep major decisions to herself until she thinks the time is right, so I half believed she’d married the young man she had dated before she moved here. Now, while I love to shop for wedding stuff, I’m just not quite ready to do it as the mother of the bride, ykwim?

This is my second son, affectionately known as Spiderman, or Spidey. He’s 7 and a half years old, a bundle of raw energy, and also a very loving child. He enjoys scouting, and television and recently discovered the computer.

So what am I doing today? I’ve started deep cleaning again. Perhaps if i would buckle down and finish, I would not have to “start” so much. Or maybe it’s consistency, not finishing that’s the problem. As usual on Monday, there’s plenty of laundry to do. I’m having the girls work on their room this week, so there will plenty all week long.
While I am doing laundry, I’m also packing up some of Clone’s things. She packed her two huge bags for the flight out, but even Samsonite luggage could not hold all the stuff that gal has, so a lot of it got left behind. Not being the tidiest creature on the planet, she left much of the remnant dirty, on the bedroom floor. Sigh.
Drama told me yesterday that she wants to move in with “my girls”. I bet that lasts until she wakes up at 3 am and forgets where Mom and Dad are. Country and Diva seem more than willing to have her in there, but it can’t happen until the room is clean, if it happens at all. I’m holding off on making a decision there just yet.
Waffle much? Yeah, that’s me. Flat, criss-crossed, crispy around the edges. But I taste great with butter and syrup.

This is my oldest son. We call him Stuntman, because he can do things like flips on the trampoline, and loves to do tricks on his back. He also like to play secret agent, and has a neat sense of humor. he knows how to laugh at himself, and he keeps the rest of us in stitches as well. He’s a new nine, more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

We need motorcycle sunglasses to protect our eyes from the brightness that is you.

I have been giggling at my older two sons lately. Well, actually all of my boys. The two older ones started state quarter collections for scouting, and they are really interested in filling up the little folders. Dh and my mom, and even just family friends are helping them add to their collections, and they are like little coin dealers as they check out what each one has, and arrange trades. I’m pleased with how they are co-operating with each other.
Of course, the brother with no collection is pretty jealous, and so he has to have quarters, too. It’s a shame they won’t make the kinds of profits actual coin traders make. the amount of silver in quarters just isn’t high enough to qualify as an investment. But they are having fun, and they are learning a bit about coin values and geography, so it’s all good.

This is Batman. This guy has a smile that will melt my sternest disciplinarian heart. He also has a penchant for wandering around the house consuming other people’s food and drinks. The running joke around here when something good comes up missing is “Batman ate it.”
