Oooh, I have something to tell you! I am probably the last person in the continental US to find out about this, but! Hey! Here goes nothin’
Febreze comes in a travel size! Now, we go through a bunch of Febreze here, because, hello?? Boys. Football. Old carpet. Babies. The Febreze comes out a lot. In fact, I have seen Diva walking around the house with a bottle in each hand shooting it randomly around the room. Yeah, we talked. Anyway, Febreze. Little bottle. Same great scent. Same awesome odor removal. Going with me on my trip. Thought you’d like to know.
I can spray the pillows in the hotel room, and it will smell just like home. Except for the diaper pail that won’t be beside the bed

Greetings from Cass’s vomi-poopi-torium. Oh My Word! Do you even know how much of a mess 8 sick people make? If I had known when I accepted dh’s proposal that one day we would have 7 little vomiters in the house, I might have thought a bit longer before we put on those wedding bands. HA!
Ok, all kidding aside, we did have a 24 hour bug sweep through here, and the good news is it was so fast acting that it only took 36 hours to be finished with us all, as opposed to the three days a 24 bug usually takes. Today, we are healthy, again, but the house reeks of sickness, and so we are washing laundry and airing things out. The really good news is that dh did not get sick at all, so he was able to hold the household together when I got taken out.
The mustard and mayonnaise have nothing to do with anything, I just wanted to say it with catch up, which is what I am trying to do. Again. Or is that still? Anybody want a sandwich?

Man, it seems like I have done laundry all day long all week long, and I guess that’s because I have. Sigh. I’m still not caught up. Of course, I am not sure I ever will be caught up with laundry, because in addition to all the clothes 9 people generate, we have the diapers, the napkins and tablecloths, the towels, and all that other Stuff That Must Be Washed. The current STMBW fills two laundry bags, one hamper and one basket. There is also a load in each machine and I. am sick. of laundry. Just sayin’
One thing I am really liking though, is the ALL detergent I am using. Light, fresh, and just a dab will do you! I use the Fresh Rain HE myself. I can’t always find it, so when I do I stock up. Second choice= Gain. And that’s more about laundry than I wish I knew right now. Excuse me, I need to switch loads.

hi, this is Mom, reporting live on location in the hallway, where I have installed myself to ensure that the children clean their rooms. Today! I’m opening up a real estate franchise, and the prime real estate I am reclaiming are bedrooms. Besides, work fascinates me, I could watch it for hours! And if I’m not watching, they aren’t cleaning. And often, they aren’t working even if I am watching

Let’s see, I was up around 6:30, I’ve cooked breakfast, done a couple loads of laundry, taught school, tidied the living room and ….. eaten lunch. It’s after one, I really want a nap, and I have 48 miles to go before I sleep. I still need to do more laundry, cook another meal, get kids to practice and get my work done. Here’s my question, and it’s rhetorical, so do’t feel like you have to leave a deep and meaningful answer: if I slap a Timex on one arm and a Lange Sohne on the other, will I then be entitled to 48 hours per day?

Yes, I know that looks like a typo, but it’s not. For once. Because I know I make many, many, typos, ya’ll. I make typos that even the spell checker misses. I am in fact, the typo queen. But enough about me.
Axcesspoints is a relatively new site, designed to help you keep important information at your virtual fingertips. Think of it as an online safe deposit box. You know you can use one of those to store important papers, and axcesspoints works the same way. You enter information there that can be accessed in an emergency. Make a list of your contacts, type in medical histories, record the location of important documents. Then pay axcesspoints a monthly fee to store it while you get on with your life. If you need it, there it is, if you don’t then that’s even better.
That works.

Is there an author on this blog? I think there is, and I think it used to be me, but lately time to blog has been rarer than Arizona luxury real estate. It’s not that I don’t have things to say. As if! It’s just that I’ve been busy mothering many instead of writing about it.
But I tell ya, I never thought I’d see the day when I had over a week’s posts on the front page.

This tip is as much for me as for ya’ll. I’ve been meaning to do it, so maybe this post will get me off my can. When you assign your children a room to clean, leave them a checklist. It’s easy to overlook sweeping the kitchen when it’s late and you are tired, but if the checklist is tucked discreetly inside a cabinet door, you’ll have a little reminder. A little “employee self evaluation” before they come tell you they are done can keep you from appearing to be an ogre. I’ve heard this reminder list works for big people, too. *cough, cough*

Remember that lovely menu I posted on Monday? So far we have had tacos (not on that menu), beans and rice (not on that menu), and chuck steak (not on that menu). Tonight dh will be bringing home deli chicken (not on that menu). Are you noticing a trend (not on that menu)?
I haven’t been grocery shopping because the kids are having practice almost every night. The coaches keep them until they need landscape lighting to see their way home. There was no practice last night, but it was called off so late that I didn’t have the list made yet. I’m planning to go tomorrow night–my early Saturday morning WalMart runs having been canceled due to ball games.

I know it’s Tuesday, but there will be no tackle this week. Or at least not today. I’ve managed to fall behind in just about everything, to the point that I am about ready to rent a public storage unit and just haul everything over to it. Then when the house was empty, I could give it a thorough cleaning, wash the walls, replace the flooring in the dining room and living room, add 2 bedrooms, a fiber/fabric.crafting room, a library and a bathroom (maybe 2) on somewhere, and then consider what could come back in. It could be like that TV show, Clean Sweep, or whatever it is. And much less would come in than went out.
Ok, ok. I’m kidding. Sorta. I mean it would be nice to out some of this stuff in self storage, but the thing is we need it. Almost all of it. And we get yet more stuff almost daily. DH and I joke about getting the wall extenders out, but we need them, and badly.
And before you suggest just getting a shed to store stuff in, we have one already, remember? And yep, it’s full. So given all that, do you have any great storage solutions? I’m pretty inventive, so I think I’ve done about all that can be done, but leave a comment with your best tip. On Friday, I’ll post them, along with a link back to your site!
