Wal-Mart Pizza

4:25 pm Cost Cutters, Feeding the Masses

We had something for dinner last night that was so good, I have to share. While I was doing the grocery shopping, I bought 3 of the 16 inch pizzas from the deli area in Wal-Mart. Those things are huge, and they are good. And they are inexpensive! I think I paid about 10 bucks for a meat one, and it had plenty of toppings, and yet the pizzas were not greasy.

My kids love to eat “out food”, but it can easily cost $50 bucks for us to get dominoes. This is a quite reasonable alternative. And 16 inches is a ton of pizza. Admittedly, we’ve been off our feed lately, but the 9 of us could not finish 2 of these.

They are pretty good. If you get them over at Sam’s Club they’ll even cook them for you, so it’s like picking it up at the pizza place.

You know what? We love those things, too. It’s just me and Grace, so we often use kitchen scissors to cut it into thirds and freeze the extra uncooked portions. I think Sam’s has the same pizzas if you want to bring them home baked in a real pizza over. If you buy it at their snack counter they will add things like extra chsse for no additional money.

No Sam’s here in bitty-burg, so I’ll just have to cook them myself. I think we’ll have the last one for dinner tonight, along with salad. I didn’t realize we were going to be sick when I made my grandiose menu for the week.
