This is the second story Diva gave me and said I could share with you. The title of this story is kinda like a personalized gift to her sister, The Clone, since it is a play on the nickname TC gave her years ago.

The Good Ghost Carolanne”

Carolanne was a good ghost. She didn’t scare people; she just wanted to know what was happening with her poor mother. But sometimes she just came out at the wrong moment when people had just looked, and they started to scream, Carolanne hated screaming. She had heard enough of it when she was dying, from her poor mother. That Christmas Eve night, just a few years ago when her mother was holding her annual Christmas party….It was cold outside and snowing, Carolanne just wanted to touch the pretty snowflakes. While her mother was not looking, Carolanna snuck outside, barefoot with no jacket. She started to play but her fingers were going numb with cold, so numb she couldn’t open the door….A few hours later when the guests started to leave, trickling out of the house happy and jolly with Christmas spirit, Carolanne’s cousin Lucy saw her…..”Mommy, why is Carolanne just laying there? Can I go play?”, she asked. “Oh my God,”, her mother gasped and ran for Carolanne’s mother. “Come quick”, she said, but it was too late. “Hurry”, she said, but they didn’t make it in time…..

Carolanne just wanted to make her mother happy on Christmas. Her mother always just sat and cried the whole day…for the last 3 years that’s all she’d done on Christmas. Carolanne sat invisible beside her mother one Christmas Eve, “shush now Mommy, it’s okay”, she whispered, but her mother did not hear. “Mommy don’t be sad”, she tried again. But still her mother continued to cry.

“Boo”, said a voice behind Carolanne. “Oh, it’s you James”, said Carolanne. James was the ghost from across the town….he was killed 20 years ago 3 days after Christmas by his 5 month pregnant wife. She only got four months in jail, because the judge didn’t want bad publicity.

He was a very mean ghost filled with anger. He got especially mean around Christmas.
