Grocery shopper needed
April 2, 2009 10:21 pm UncategorizedAlso, a laundress and a vacuum runner. And a duster and toilet scrubber. Oh, wait, that’s me, isn’t it? Yeah, I am still kvetching about how I am supposed to get everything done. The working, the shopping, the teaching, the lesson planning, the sleeping, the showering. I’m toying with a couple of ideas: I can do some major cooking on my days off and have plan-overs on other days. I can also do more crockpot meals, like the one I did today. In fact, I bought a new crockpot recipe book yesterday with that in mind.
More than cooking though, I need time to do the grocery shopping. Since my mom watches the children while I work, I feel like I have to get home right away. And on my days off, I want to stay home, not go to the grocery store, yk? Too bad I don’t have a magical Fruit hammock that replenishes itself. Cause at the rate I am not going to the store, fresh fruit is a non-food item around here.
Of course, seeing those bananas resting so peacefully in that hammock reminds me of something else I need. Sleep. Don’t they look so …well rested? Like no dark circles under their non-existent eyes and stuff? And I am also pretty sure they didn’t brew a pot of coffee just to get themselves through cleaning of a dresser top and the kids bedtime routines, either. Yawn.
PS: I am making lasagna on Saturday. I huge one. Like in a turkey roasting pan. I made the shopping list tonight. I’ll get the stuff after work on Saturday when not-my-mom is watching the kids. And I will still feel compelled to hurry.

I want a grocery shopper and laundress too! There always seems to be so much to do doesn’t there? I finally streamlined my money saving efforts for grocery shopping though by using more electronic grocery coupons. A neat little invention that all you need to do is register your grocery club card online, select the coupons you want and then the discounts are loaded to your shopping card. What is even better? You save money, the process takes about 5 minutes start to finish, and you don’t need to remember to take coupons with you to the grocery store. Easier, cheaper, and faster are better in my book!
