Mothering Many

Man, things sure change, don’t they? Even things that you look on as traditions. See, for almost 2 decades, the baby of our house has had the high privilege of putting the angel on top of the tree each year at Christmas. So, this morning, I picked up the angel and asked “Where’s DaBaby?” when it occurred to me that unless I planned to let her do it for the next 16 years, it was time to get a new plan. And so Country was called in, and this year, the oldest baby at home put the angel on the tree. Yeah, I took a picture. No, I didn’t bring the camera. Sorry.

Of course, the Christmas lists evolve too. This year, Country wants blank cds and an MP3 player. At least Drama still wants dolls and teddy bears. Along with a spatula. DaBaby doesn’t realize yet that she can make a list, LOL. Still, I know it won’t be long before they are all asking for laptops and cell phone repeaters and just such.

I’m beginning to feel like even Carter’s wouldn’t last long enough for my little ones to stay little.
