Writing Lessons

When did the instrument of choice for math become a pen? Country has been using one for quite a while now, and man, she goes through the ink. I ought to buy stock Papermate pens, or at least buy them in bulk, ya know?
In other writing news, I invested in handwriting books for the rest of my students. I got tired of having to ask what they were “trying to write here?” It’s insane, I tell you, insane. Of course, I may have a hard row to hoe, since my own handwriting did not become acceptable until I was in my 30s.

I started using pen for math in High School when we had to start showing our work for everything. The final answer didn’t matter as long as you showed how you got to it, so an eraser was no longer a necessity.
Little kid handwriting is always super hard to read, but it’s adorable nonetheless. Good luck improving their penmanship skills.
