Grey Poupon

12:35 pm Uncategorized

I’ve been asked to try these Grey Poupon Mustards and give an honest review, and now it is time to do so. I have always enjoyed Grey Poupon, and fancy mustards in general, so I was delighted by this assignment. I’ve yet to meet a mustard I did not like, and while I realize that to some people mustard is just mustard, that’s not the case for me.

Here’s the rest of what you need to know: we eat hotdogs every Saturday here. Ev-er-y Saturday. And if by some fluke of the calendar, we miss this Saturday ritual, we perform it on Friday or Sunday. And I hate hotdogs. Well, that’s not strictly true. I do enjoy them. Once or twice a year. Or with fancy-schmansy mustard, like so:

I put chili in the bun, followed by the dog, and then slathered the mustard on. And it was good. More than edible. We’ll be having hotdogs again this Saturday, and I have another Grey Poupon to try, so I will have to update this post then. It’s a coarse grind mustard, and it looks wonderful! I can totally see using that one as a glaze for ham………yumm!

I hate hot dogs too. Well, cheap hot dogs.. and I won’t eat them.. period.

We have a great regional brand here that are actually quite tasty. They even have restaurants around town. Going there for lunch on a Saturday is one of family’s favorite treats. My fave is the foot long “German red hot” with cheese and chili. And fresh homemade German potato salad on the side!

You gotta admit though. There is nothing better than a hot dog at baseball game and a warm budweiser.

Wow that looks great. Don’t know why I never thought of putting anything other than deli mustard on a hot dog, when I love dijon and honey mustard much more. I’ll have to give it a shot. Cheers!
