Turn it down, turn it off

6:47 pm Mom is a person too

Please tell me that if I get a big ol’ plasma tv that I want for Christmas, and put it high on the wall on one of those fancy plasma mounts where the children cannot reach it AND I keep the remote on my desk that I will not have to ask every day, several times per day “how loud is that tv?”. Whenever I start getting edgy, I know to ask , and invariably it is set at 20, when all the children know it’s supposed to be at 10. And then they turn it down, I stop vibrating, and we can all continue on with our day.

And while I am kvetching about noise, what’s with turning on the kitchen radio and then walking out of the kitchen? Into the livingroom? And plopping down in front of the too-loud television? Hell-Oh? Ding, ding, ding. This is the captain mother speaking: turn it down and turn it off.
